So Beautiful 03:46
Just a young girl about 20 or so What her name was I didn’t know So I walked right up to introduce myself to her My heart was soft, palms were sweaty My mind was racin’, the mood was heavy So shot a smile and kept on walking by And I should’ve said hello Should have never let her go I think that she should know She’s So Beautiful I took another breath to try again Looked her in the eye and then Found I didn’t have the words to speak An awkward pause for a moment to two Should I count my losses or follow through If she could read my mind we might be better off And I should’ve said hello Should have never let her go She’s surely bound to know She’s So beautiful So beautiful When I finally found my cour - age again I knew what it was I should have said One more time I walked right up to her and spoke You’re so beautiful

Dissatisfied 03:37
Let me share a sad fact that’s I’ve found Happiness ain’t always gonna be around And if you live your life with that in mind You might find you’ll have an easier time When you laugh, if you cry, oh just keep on sayin’ I can’t find a reason to be dissatisfied Got all this life to live I can’t find a reason to be dissatisfied Got all this love to give I can’t find a reason to be dissatisfied Tell me what’s the point in it Everyday I get up I get down but if I don’t open up my eyes look at all the life I’ll miss Seems I always want to have love around Ever since it picked me up off the ground But love ain’t always going to feel this way It’s much harder work when you’ve got to do it day to day Please be patient with the heart I’m given It may take some faith with the life I’m livin’ I hope that in time I’ll be forgiven If I cry, when I laugh, oh just keep on saying I can’t find a reason to be dissatisfied Got all this life to live I can’t find a reason to be dissatisfied Got all this love to give I can’t find a reason to be dissatisfied Tell me what’s the point in it Everyday I get up I get down but if I don’t open up my eyes look at all the life I’ll miss I can't find a reason to be dissatisfied

Been a lot of tears, Been a lot of pain, Fought my way through sorrow time and time again Loneliness called often, and often it would stay, Stole a lot of sun from my younger days, baby you know it’s true The day that I met you, You stop me in my tracks, I knew right then I was never turning back So I made vow to you, with some rings that I had found Now it’s been along time since lonely came around baby you know it’s true The best part of me’s always been you And I would go back and do it all again Cause this is the happiest I’ve ever been With you I’m the happiest I’ve ever… Been Wondering a lot about the day when One or both our hearts stop beating If one goes and the other can’t follow Don’t know how I’ll ever go on baby you know it’s true The best part of me’s always been you And I would go back and do it all again Cause this is the happiest I’ve ever been With you I’m the happiest I’ve ever been

Took so long to get me here A lot searching and 33yrs Looking back never noticed how every moment then led to this one now Ooo ooo ooo ooo how we gonna make these moments last Ooo ooo ooo ooo when the days go by so fast Each mistake was one well made Carry them around - like scars each day I glad they came though I regret a few But each and every one made me the man before you Ooo ooo ooo ooo how we gonna make these moments last Ooo ooo ooo ooo when the days go by so fast Hear your voice echo down the hall I’d come to you at times when I’d hear you call A sibling’s blood is strong and true We learned so much more then than I ever knew Said some things I didn’t mean I just want enough time to come clean If I could go back to change those times I’d tell you that I love you and let it all subside Ooo ooo ooo ooo how we gonna make these moments last Ooo ooo ooo ooo when the days go by so fast Ooo ooo ooo ooo how we gonna make these moments last Ooo ooo ooo ooo when the years go by so fast

Sidewalks 04:09
Sidewalk Lit by dim street lamps Walking holding hands Guess where I want to be Open your eyes and you’ll see it Cathedral Built on shafts of light On this road tonight “Light circles” wring out promises Let's Engrave em with a kiss City An ocean there below As headlights Eb and flow Tomorrow’s on my tongue Hope it never comes So Stop the clock from going on I know I’m right where I belong The fire you started in my soul Is lighting up the streets below

Don’t lose your heart It carries the magnitude of who you are And it’s the best thing you got going for you by far So trust it love it keep living strong Don’t let the light in your eyes ever fade out with time Though I know it’s easy to doubt your mind Trust your heart and I know you’ll be fine Cause it’s beautiful How your heart makes mine long for home And it’s soft inside And I go there when your eyes Meet mine So take my hand The days go by fast than you plan So If you ever need me know that I’m your man Cause I love you more than you can comprehend Cause you’re beautiful And your heart makes mine long for home And it’s soft inside And I go there when your eyes Meet mine Your heart will harden from-this broken world Time and time again But keep on loving within this truth Until the end your beautiful and your heart makes mine long for home And it’s soft inside And I go there when your eyes Meet mine

Sometimes in late November I sit and watch the sun go down While autumn fires are burning In my small mid-western town I’m turning on my headlights Heading down double I God’s settin fire To light up the Wisconsin sky Ain’t it hard to hold on to sweet memories to guide you the whole world changin’ around you ain’t it hard to hold on to ‘member when I was younger we moved from town to town Always ended up Leaving ‘fore our feet even touch the ground ‘member swimming in the ocean on the gulf’s sweet summer sand sister reading me stories from books in her tiny hands Ain’t it hard to hold on to sweet memories to guide you The world changing around you ain’t it hard to hold on to Now I know I can’t see the future but I’ll tell what I see We’re surrounded by grandchildren Birthday’s, laughing, Life happening and it’s gonna be hard to hold on to The world changing around you Like a home you can’t go home to ain’t it hard to hold on to Ain’t it hard to hold on to The world changing around you Like a home you can’t go home to ain’t it hard to hold on to

about

Thanks to all my family and friends for their continued support in my endeavour to create music — especially to Stephen for his encouragement and help to make me a better songwriter and better Christian — to Dave whose friendship has and forever will inspire me — Melissa who loves me, lives through every choice I make, and truly holds things together while raising the 3 beautiful boys God graced us with — to Caleb for giving these songs a proper home to thrive in and committing time to make them great — to my mother for showing me unconditional love — to my father, Chris, and Emily for investing so much into our lives as a family. Most of all, I thank Jesus who, through His grace, has given me life and blessed me with all that is in it.

This project is dedicated to my sister, Amy, who passed away seven days before her 39th year, and those closest to her: Tim, Anika, Adam, and Micah. We all love her despite the choices that left us without her. Though it may be hard to hold onto, she is missed and will be remembered always.

about

Matt Manzo Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Matt Manzo started writing songs not so they could reach the stage or be a track, but because they were a way to process life. Over 18 years, and many bands, recordings, and, performances later that has not changed. Working out the art of creating songs, and, teaching himself to play guitar he developed a style that felt true to self and openly accessible to his listeners. ... more
